Who's on First
The Abbott & Costello Show
|
The Abbott & Costello ShowBud Abbott and Lou Costello were America's favorite war time comedy duo. Their skit, "Who's on First", perhaps the single most recognizable routine in all of radio history, launched their carrier with its staccato wordplay and odd names. The skit has made such an enduring mark that the team (fictional of course) has been inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. The two began working together in the New York burlesque set in 1935 and got their first radio break in the 1938 Kate Smith Hour. Two years latter their 'Abbott & Costello Show' was a summer replacement for the Fred Allen show and in 1942 their show found its place in the NBC stable. We have 76 of the best of Abbott & Costello Show including, of course, Who's on First.Enjoy the intrigue, suspense, and humor of Old Time Radio Shows in digital audio designed to play directly on your computer or anywhere you go.
